Weird Sound Generator

          Adhering to my policy ,of having too many projects .going at once ,here is my newest,little monster ,in the making. This is going to be the Weird Sound Generator,by Music From Outer Space. I bought a preetched board ,from their site.Here is a little plastic lego kinda box ,I commandered ,from the kidz.

   I then dug up a scrap piece of plexiglas,& traced a profile of the open box..

  Then cut it to the right shape,on the band saw .I like working with Plexi,for some reason;I think it's the unique smell,when you cut it.

Here it is ,fitted into the case,supported by nylon standoffs.

  I came up with some artwork with my favorite little art program.I then printed it out ,in black & white ,onto that blue Press n Seal film.then ironed the pattern ,onto the underside of the clear plexi panel.

 Holes,for the pots,can then be drilled from the reverse side.

  Here it is with two little speakers I built into the lid. I kludeged a mini two watt amp,on the board,to run the built in speakers,or an external one.The knobs are surplus guitar amp knobs.The kidz love playing with this thing,and so do I.
